Updated: Stadium Trucks Meet Technical Requirements

After a manic practice two in the Boost Mobile Stadium Super Trucks on Thursday, the future of the event at the 2024 VAILO Adelaide 500 was in crisis talks.

Shae Davies ended up on his side in the early part of practice two, after he failed to land a jump.

Matt Mingay then went one better minutes later. Mingay lost control of his car, and as it sped toward the wall, his fuel cap fell out the back of his vehicle and ignited as it came to rest against the opposite wall.

Qualifying was scheduled for 11:50 this morning, but that was postponed to 4:15 PM, as the Motorsport Australia Stewards conducted a hearing with Stadium Super Trucks officials this afternoon.

Following the hearing, it was determined the Stadium Super Trucks met the technical requirements.

The Stadium Super Trucks will now follow the rest of its the schedule, with race one scheduled at qualifying time, that will now be cancelled, and the trucks will now race three times, at 2:05 tomorrow, as well as 9 am and 11:10am on Sunday.
