“There’s no point being combative after the moment” - Nicks on Hinge

It was the moment that cost the Crows: with just 153 seconds before three-quarter-time, Mitchell Hinge lost his cool. He bumped Taylor Adams to the ground. In the space of 10 kicks, Adelaide had conceded four goals and had turned a nine-point lead into a 15-point deficit;

On the incident, Matthew Nicks had this to say;

“I think at that stage they’d wrestled the momentum back. That just basically put some fuel on the fire unfortunately.”

Sydney went on to kick one more in the third, before a four-goal-to-one fourth quarter saw the Swans run out seven goal winners.
