Sunday Afternoon in the West for Adelaide Crows

Adelaide and Fremantle will end Round 2, as the Crows head west for a massive clash in the AFLW Season. As two heavyweights of the competition, neither can afford to drop points to the other.

Chelsea Biddell will play her 50th game on the weekend against Fremantle, however Adelaide coach Matthew Clarke said that Biddell is feeling no pressure;

“I haven’t seen any sort of nerves ever. She’s a pretty relaxed character. I don’t think it would be any different this way,” Clarke began.

“The way she’s played over the last three seasons has been outstanding.

“She’s an All-Australian defender on a couple of occasions and obviously has that flexibility [to go] forward, [like] last week, she was able to impact there as well.

“It’s great that our players are now starting to reach some of these milestones.”

Clarke mentioned the return of Caitlin Gould. The superstar missed the Round 1 clash, but is now ready to go;

“She’s 100% ready to go, [it was] disappointing for her to miss Round 1.”

Gould has been dominant for the Crows in clearances and hit-outs across her career, and will be welcomed back with open arms into the Adelaide fold.

Third year player Brooke Tonon also added her thoughts as to where the game will be won or lost;

“They’ve got a goal kickers. I think our defence is gonna have to stand up this week,” Tonon said.

Prediction: Crows will be too strong here in a real battle. Adelaide by nine.

The first bounce is scheduled for 4:35 ACST on Sunday, with all the action from Fremantle Oval available on 7mate, Fox Footy and Kayo.
