Feeney Fastest For Race 24 Qualifying

Despite the season belonging to the champion elect in Will Brown, Broc Feeney is in the process of making Adelaide his own.

After a blistering run yesterday in which he won the race by a gap we’d become accustomed to seeing by Max Verstappen in Formula 1, his qualifying run this morning sent a clear message to the rest of the grid ahead of the 2025 season.

Nick Percat and Ryan Wood weren’t waiting for the flying lap to make contact. As everyone began their outlaps, Percat cut across and collected Wood’s Chevrolet at turn four.

After an amazing drive yesterday, Feeney looked ready to go again on Sunday. His first lap broke into the 1:19s, before his final lap saw him post the best time of the weekend so far, a 1:19:546.

Elsewhere, Mostert’s luck looked to be finally changing, the number 25 Mustang produced a lap time good enough for second. He would finish fourth, with both Waters and Wood improving.

On his final run, Jaxon Evans found out the margin needed to get it wrong at turn 8. He came sliding out of the entry, hit the outside wall, and wrecked his car. Supercar fell all over the circuit as turn eight ended another session early, albeit by only less than a minute.

Several drivers were on green laps, including, Mostert, Waters, and, most frustratingly for him, Matthew Payne.

It remains unclear whether or not Evans will compete in the final day of the Supercars Championship.
