Ange and Eidevall Leap to Cooney-Cross Defence

It was the moment that stopped the footballing world. Arsenal star Kyra Cooney-Cross was seen wearing a Tottenham scarf at the Women’s FA Cup Final in support of friend Charlie Grant.

“Kyra is a young person and sometimes some things get blown out of proportion. You don’t really know the context and why certain things happen. She will learn and move on from that situation.” Cooney-Cross’ coach Jonas Eidevall said on Thursday.

Tottenham men’s boss Ange Postecoglou also talked on the Charlie Grant, Kyra Cooney-Cross situation;

“Online, it’s not a world I inhabit or have any interest in mate.  If she was trying to show support for her friend, then god forbit.”

“I wasn’t across the issue, obviously, I’m a little disappointed for Charlie that she couldn’t get across the line in the cup final, the girls have played really well this year.”

Cooney Cross will be in action tonight as Arsenal take on the A-League Women All-Stars from 8:05 AEST at Marvel Stadium.
